September 19, 2018, London -- Today, SoundCloud announced its streams of licensed, monetized tracks in the UK and Ireland will now count toward the UK’s Official Charts--the official, trusted, weekly pulse of what’s hot in the UK and Irish music scenes. Compiled by the Official Charts Company on behalf of the British music industry and the Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA), SoundCloud streams will debut on the UK and Ireland reports for week ending September 21, 2018.

SoundCloud streams will be included in The Official Singles Chart, The Official Albums chart, and The Official Independent Singles Chart for both the UK and Ireland, in addition to a number of genre charts including Classical, Dance, R&B, Rock & Metal.
