[March 4-New York, NY] – Today, Xbox and SoundCloud announce the winner of the Forza Motorsport Creator Contest, a competition aimed at discovering the next great racing anthem.
In December, in celebration of the release of Forza Motorsport , Xbox turned up the volume on the game’s soundtrack by tapping SoundCloud’s deep bench of artists for inspiration. Aspiring musicians, sound engineers, and Forza fans alike could visit forza.soundcloud.com to work with select music from the game’s home space environment to compose and submit an original composition for consideration as the ultimate racing anthem. Tracks were then judged by a collaborative panel of representatives from Xbox, SoundCloud, and Turn 10 Studios, with the winning track featured on the official Xbox SoundCloud profile and social channels.
After an exhilarating journey through original track submissions, we are excited to reveal the winning creation: LostInReverb - “Ride (Slowed).”
We’re excited to award LostInReverb a grand prize of $10,000 and an exclusive custom Xbox Series X console inspired by the 2023 Cadillac #01 Cadillac Racing V-Series.R.
In addition to this exciting news and as part of the celebration, fans are invited to download a custom SoundCloud Race Suit for use in Forza Motorsport, complete with a standout orange visor. Players can head to the Driver customization menu in Forza Motorsport to snag this sleek black-and-white gear, adorned with bold orange stripes – a visual treat inspired by SoundCloud, Xbox, Turn 10, and Forza Motorsport.
Daniel Romero AKA LostInReverb has been creating shoegaze/Dreampop music since he was 19 years old, when he began posting his first tracks on SoundCloud. Now 30, he continues to play and write music and has recently launched a new project called “stillfilms.”
